This marks PINTU Incubator's second participation in Première Classe from September 29th to October 2nd, 2023, at the Jardin Des Tuileries, Paris. Having previously introduced four of Indonesia's emerging fashion talents to the global stage, this occasion will put the spotlight on two exceptional emerging fashion talents; Bertjorak and Fuguku.

BERTJORAK, an eye-catching talent, translates the vibrancy of Indonesian culture into eclectic designs that radiate positive energy while portraying the essence of quirkiness. Starting the journey in Bandung in 2020, Bertjorak introduced modern, ready-to-wear clothing for both women and men (unisex). The creations are presented in eccentric colors with the philosophy of spreading positive energy among the fashion-savvy and people/society in general. In the manufacturing of all the products, we consistently conduct research and exploration regarding these products based on the latest trend forecasts. For this new collection named "Captcha," Bertjorak presents a collection of 12 pieces, incorporating a broader spectrum of colors and patterns inspired by contemporary Internet disruption. The collection uses entirely sustainable materials like cotton and buttons made from recycled plastic bottles. Find more about Bertjorak on Instagram at @Bertjorak and www.Bertjorak.com.

FUGUKU, crafted by skilled artisans in Jakarta, offers contemporary products experimenting with recycled plastic bottles. Fuguku stepped into the Indonesian fashion scene in 2022, with its philosophy and designs drawing inspiration from the puffer fish, which the Japanese called “fugu". The fabric of Fuguku is handcrafted using an innovation based on traditional Indonesian jumputan - the technique of tying. Melding PRET recycled bottle material, Fuguku's designs contribute positively to environmental impact. This Spring/Summer 2024 collection draws inspiration from the shapes and colors of the ocean and its representations of the unknown. Titled “The Deep Sea” this collection of 12 looks is also a metaphor for the deep thoughts everyone is experiencing. Additionally, you can find more about Fuguku on Instagram at @Fuguku.id.

In addition to the two participating brands that passed the recent curation, an alumnus from the 2022 PINTU Incubator program, APAKABAR is returning for a second time. Apakabar was launched in 2018 and rejoining demonstrates its ongoing commitment to minimizing environmental impact through sustainable collections. The brand's environmentally conscious designs serve as evidence of the significant influence of PINTU Incubator in promoting sustainable fashion practices. Introducing "Gentra," featuring 12 pieces from the collection, as "The Sound of the Universe." Sound is a vibration that propagates as an acoustic wave through a transmission medium, such as a gas, liquid, or solid.
