Held from October 3–6 at Jardin des Tuileries, Première Classe is one of the most influential trade platforms for global fashion business. This year, PINTU Incubator reinforced its role as a bridge between Indonesia’s emerging designers and international markets by curating a collective presentation that included its incubated brands alongside RUBYS, a standout label nurtured under Ekraf’s creative industry program. The result was a powerful showcase of Indonesia’s creative identity, diverse, sustainable, and ready for global expansion.
RUBYS’ participation marks a new milestone in the evolution of Indonesia’s fashion incubator ecosystem. Known for transforming recycled glass bottles into refined, contemporary jewelry, RUBYS brought a strong message of circular design to Paris. Each piece embodies craftsmanship and responsible production, aligning seamlessly with the growing demand for ethical fashion across international markets. More importantly, RUBYS’ presence signaled how government-backed initiatives and incubator programs like PINTU can collaborate to accelerate creative entrepreneurs into the global spotlight.
Throughout the four-day trade show, the RUBYS booth drew steady interest from buyers, press, and fashion scouts. A Canadian buyer immediately placed direct orders, while additional inquiries came from Nigeria, Ghana, France, the United States, and Japan. This response underscores a global shift toward purpose-driven brands, an encouraging sign that sustainable fashion from Indonesia is not only relevant but competitive within the international marketplace.
For PINTU Incubator, this achievement reinforces its mission of nurturing Indonesia’s next generation of creative leaders through mentorship, global exposure, and cross-cultural collaboration. Over the past four years, PINTU has grown into a leading platform within Indonesia’s creative ecosystem, supporting more than 50 brands, connecting them with over 80 international mentors, and facilitating multiple showcases in Indonesia and France. Its collaborations, with institutions such as École Duperré Paris, and with partners like JF3 and LAKON Indonesia, have created an incubator environment where experimentation, sustainability, and cultural exchange become the foundation for long-term growth.
The synergy between PINTU and Ekraf illustrates how strategic cooperation between government institutions and independent creative organizations can strengthen Indonesia’s fashion business landscape. By combining resources, networks, and expertise, the two institutions are helping build a sustainable fashion ecosystem where local brands can evolve, innovate, and compete globally.
RUBYS’ success story stands as a testament to what this collaborative framework can achieve. Representing both government support and the strength of Indonesia’s creative incubator culture, the brand demonstrated that Indonesian craftsmanship—rooted in tradition yet forward thinking in design, holds significant commercial potential on the international stage.
As PINTU continues to expand its Incubator Program, the message becomes clear: collaboration is Indonesia’s competitive advantage. When institutions, designers, artisans, and global partners come together, the impact reaches far beyond a single showcase. It becomes part of a larger movement, one that positions Indonesia not just as a participant, but as a rising leader in the global creative economy.
