Founded in 2023 by Savirra Lavinia, Nonita Respati, and Andarina Soemarno, Fuguku has become a symbol of Indonesia’s modern craftsmanship. The brand’s signature 3D “thorny” texture, an avant-garde reinterpretation of Indonesia’s traditional jumputan technique, is produced using GRS-certified recycled polyester, handwoven by more than 70 women artisans in the Jabodetabek region. Through this approach, Fuguku not only innovates in design but also builds an inclusive and sustainable ecosystem that uplifts local communities, an ethos shared with PINTU Incubator’s broader incubator program for the creative industry. This distinctive approach to eco-design reflects PINTU’s mission to empower local talents through mentorship, sustainability, and international exposure in the fashion business landscape.
Following its acclaimed showcase at Expo 2025 Osaka, where its Fugu Bloom modular collection was introduced, one of which was later acquired by Centre Pompidou Paris, Fuguku arrived in Paris with strengthened global momentum. The brand presented an adaptive modular collection featuring the Shell Bag, a continuation of its exploration of transformable silhouettes and functional design. Collaborations with 2 Mai (Paris) and Anybag (New York) further anchored Fuguku’s position in the global circular fashion ecosystem.
At Première Classe Paris 2025, Fuguku’s showcase translated directly into commercial results. FUGUKU attracted real international buyers from Naples, Leuca, and Rome (Italy), as well as Amsterdam and Paris, signaling strong interest from Europe’s fashion capitals. Beyond these confirmed transactions, the brand is also in ongoing discussions with potential buyers from regions across Italy, Hong Kong, Japan, North America, South America, and Africa—a testament to the brand’s rising international demand.
“PINTU Incubator has been instrumental in helping us understand international standards and refine our business strategy. The mentorship and feedback we received truly prepared us to engage with global markets,” said Savirra Lavinia, Founder of Fuguku.
Fuguku’s consistency reflects the strength of PINTU’s Incubator Program, initiated by JF3 Fashion Festival, LAKON Indonesia, and the French Embassy through IFI. Beyond creative development, the program focuses on business readiness and sustainable growth—preparing brands to transition from local innovators to global contenders.
For PINTU Incubator, Fuguku’s achievements embody the program’s core purpose: to connect culture with commerce through structured mentorship and international collaboration. Each success reinforces the value of Indonesia’s creative diplomacy and its potential to contribute to the global fashion ecosystem.
From Jakarta to Osaka to Paris, Fuguku continues to prove that when sustainability meets innovation, Indonesian craftsmanship can inspire the world. Its journey is a testament to how a strong fashion incubator can transform creativity into measurable impact—turning purpose-driven design into a global force within the evolving fashion business.
