The Indonesian French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IFCCI), which has been a key bridge between the two nations since its founding in 1986, hosted the event as part of its ongoing mission to deepen bilateral trade and cross-sector collaboration. The 2025 gala dinner welcomed influential figures from both countries, offering French cuisine, cultural performances, and moments of reflection on the longstanding relationship between France and Indonesia.
But at the center of the evening’s creative celebration was PINTU Incubator, a leading fashion incubator in Indonesia, known for mentoring and supporting emerging local designers through its dedicated incubator program. By turning the spotlight on fashion, PINTU not only celebrated heritage but also demonstrated how creative industries can power economic diplomacy.
The highlight of the night was PINTU’s trunk show presentation, featuring four alumni of PINTU: Tepa Selira, APAKABAR, Rizkya Batik, and Nona Rona. Each presented three looks that reflected their brand identities—ranging from hand-drawn batik to reimagined traditional textiles and contemporary cuts designed for a global market. These designers are all graduates of PINTU’s fashion incubator program, which equips creatives with tools to scale their businesses and expand their reach internationally.
Adding prestige to the evening was a special showcase by LAKON Indonesia, featuring 12 standout looks. LAKON, known for its dedication to heritage craftsmanship, presented modern, elegant designs that further elevated Indonesia’s fashion narrative in front of an international business audience.
In addition to the runway segment, the event featured 11 curated fashion installations from PINTU-supported brands. These immersive displays invited attendees to explore the stories, techniques, and philosophies behind each brand. Participating labels included CLV, Dya Sejiwa, GAEA, Lil Public, Patroon, and the four featured trunk show brands—alongside two installations by LAKON Indonesia.
The installations added depth to the fashion narrative, offering a closer look at the craftsmanship, material innovation, and cultural references that define modern Indonesian fashion. Each brand expressed its unique interpretation of Indonesian identity, positioning local creativity within a global design context.
PINTU’s presence at IFCCI 2025 marks a significant milestone in its mission to connect Indonesian designers with international opportunities. By utilizing diplomatic platforms to highlight fashion business potential, PINTU is redefining what a fashion incubator can do—not just fostering creativity, but building bridges between cultures and markets.
As part of its broader vision, PINTU’s incubator program provides emerging designers with tailored mentorship, business development resources, and exposure to international fashion networks. By merging art, tradition, and business strategy, PINTU has become a leading incubator model in Southeast Asia. Its role in IFCCI 2025 was not just to showcase garments, but to represent Indonesia’s voice in global creative conversations.
The success of the trunk show at IFCCI 2025 reflects a growing recognition of Indonesia’s fashion business potential on the world stage. With increasing international interest in sustainability, heritage techniques, and unique design perspectives, Indonesian brands are well-positioned to thrive globally.
Through the support of programs like PINTU, local designers can now access global platforms while remaining rooted in their identity. The event proved that Indonesian fashion is not only rich in culture but also highly competitive, relevant, and ready for export. As a fashion incubator that champions both tradition and transformation, PINTU is helping define the future of Indonesian fashion—and placing it confidently on the global map.
